Kate del Castillo to participate in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race (April 14)

An Oscar winner, an "Apprentice" and one of People en EspaƱol's "50 most beautiful" will be revving up for the 10-lap, 1.97-mile downtown Long Beach street course for charity next month.

Film actor Adrien Brody, "The Apprentice" winner and reality show star Bill Rancic and telenovela actress Kate del Castillo are among those slated to participate in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race on April14, one of several races associated with the 38th annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 13-15, race organizers announced Wednesday.

For more than 30 years, the annual charity race for children has attracted celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, George Lucas and Keanu Reeves. Toyota annually donates $5,000 to national nonprofit Racing for Kids in honor of each participant and another $5,000 to the winning racer's charity of choice.

Before the race, many of the stars will visit patients at Miller Children's Hospital.

"I have yet to meet a participant who hasn't been appreciative and sincerely affected by the children's hospital visit that we organize ahead of race day," Toyota's national motorsports manager Les Unger said in a statement. "It's one of the reasons that this race remains such an immense draw for celebrities and athletes and for the fans who get to see their favorite stars really having a ball. Honestly, I don't know who has more fun, the drivers or the spectators."

Since 1991, Toyota has given more than $2 million to Racing for Kids. The two specific children's hospitals that benefit from the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race are Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach and Children's Hospital of Orange County.
