Kate del Castllo to appear in NBC's "Grimm"


Kate del Castillo will have a cameo in the TV series Grimm (NBC). She will play a detective in the episode that will air on October 26.

Mexican actress will play Valentina Marquez, who comes to Portland to help detectives Nick and Hank (main characters of the series) in capturing a child abductor. The episode is titled 'La Llorona' and is based in the Mexican urban legend of the same name.

Grimm is a series of fantasy, mystery, crime and drama which aired from October 2011. The peculiar thing about the plot is that Nick, one of the stars, has the ability to recognize supernatural creatures that come to our world.

Del Castillo has been involved in other productions on American television. Last year she played Anita Torres in an episode of CSI: Miami and in 2009 starred in the hit series Weeds, Showtime.

Goran Visnjic joins the cast of Ridley Scott's "The Counselor"




While Ridley Scott puts the production of "The Counselor" on hold in the wake of his brother Tony Scott's death, when cameras start rolling again we can look for another face in those set pics: Goran Visnjic. With the "E.R." actor booking a role on the upcoming ABC drama "Red Widow," it has also been revealed he's joined Ridley Scott film as well, although his role hasn't been disclosed. Penned by Cormac McCarthy, the story follows a prosecutor who dabbles in dealing drugs to earn a quick buck and gets in way over his head. Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Rosie Perez, Dean Norris and John Leguizamo co-star in the film that currently hasn't been slated with a release date.

Goran Visnjic joins ABC's TV drama "Red Widow"



In his first regular series gig since the end of ER, Goran Visnjic has joined ABC’s midseason drama series Red Widow. The project, from Twilight writer Melissa Rosenberg, Endemol and ABC Studios, is based on a Dutch format and centers on Marta Walraven (Radha Mitchell) who, after her gangster husband is brutally murdered by a rival cartel, takes on the gangsters and the FBI to unveil the truth about her husband’s death. Visnjic will play Schiller, the mafia mob boss. The role was played in the pilot by Thomas Kretschmann as a guest star. Visnjic joins fellow new Red Widow regular Clifton Collins Jr.

Since wrapping his nine-year stint on NBC’s medical drama ER, Visnjic, repped by WME, Management 360 and attorney Barry Tyerman, has done arcs on Leverage and Pan Am. On the feature side, he has just been cast in Ridley Scott’s The Counselor.
