Intandem Films is pleased to announce its association with Los Angeles based Libertine Films and first time director Jules Stewart. Intandem will be handling all the international sales for the film K-11. K-11 is an edgy drama set in LA County's Men's Central Jail, the film is a dark and complex character ensemble, with casting currently on a fast track.
The indie picture is fully financed and scheduled to shoot on location in Los Angeles this July to premiere at the Berlin Film Festival 2012. Libertine President Tom Wright will produce.
Intandem CEO Gary Smith commented:
"We at Intandem are delighted to be working with Jules because she has a tremendous level of creativity and a very unique voice as a filmmaker." He added, "Libertine Films has a diverse slate of films and we look forward to developing a long and successful collaboration with them."
Writer/Director Stewart is represented by ICM's Joanne Wiles and formed Libertine Films with Wright after working many years as a well-respected Script Supervisor. Libertine retains all North American rights for K-11, with Intandem's Smith serving as consultant on the negotiations.
