Toronto 2011: Intandem Chalks Up Foreign Sales For Rob Heydon's 'Ecstasy'

TORONTO
– Intandem Films has sold Rob Heydon’s Ecstasy, based on the Irvine Welsh novel, to around 20 territories, including Portugal, the Czech Republic and South Africa.

Through a deal with Germany’s Senator Films, Ecstasy will also be distributed to a number of German-speaking territories.

Heydon's $5 million film, based on Welsh's follow up novel to Trainspotting and starring Kristin Kreuk and Billy Boyd, was first shopped to buyers at Cannes, and now in Toronto.

Ecstasy will have its world premiere at the Atlantic Film Festival, and is expected to screen at the London Film Festival in October.
